Abstract
Despite the advancements in tenures, the application of AI to address challenges in various areas of improvement and healthcare sustainability remains a significant challenge. Moreover, the operational implications and evaluation of AI model performance in healthcare, in connection with environmental and financial issues faced by health organizations, have been minimally explored. The primary aim of this research is to examine the opportunities and constraints of various AI methodological advancements that can have practical and effective applications, ultimately contributing to the implementation of sustainable healthcare to meet the population’s increasing demand for accessibility and quality of care. Furthermore, this study does not seek to present a singular perspective on the topics, but rather to offer a comprehensive analysis discussing the foundational assumptions and connections between various ideals that have enabled the application and subsequent innovation of AI in healthcare. Finally, this paper also addresses the guidelines and future directions in the operations and challenges of sustainable healthcare.
