Abstract
A safe and accessible road can stimulate a positive environment and create a better socio-economic status for the community. The objective of this study was to know the causes, impacts, and recommendations to the present-day condition of General Alejo Santos Highway situated in Barangay Tibagan, Bonga Mayor, and Bonga Menor in the municipality of Bustos, Bulacan. A quantitative approach was utilized through the use of survey questionnaires to gather adequate data from seventy (70) random respondents from the residents of the three mentioned barangays who were passing by the said highway. The study discovered that there are negative impacts due to the current situation of General Alejo Santos Highway both for safety and its physical condition which put the everyday lives of the people who access the road highway at risk. The results of this study based on its findings suggest a call for urgent improvements and consistency of present road management laws.
