Enhancing Urban Safety in the Municipality of Apalit Through the Implementation of Pedestrian Line Markings

Abstract

The research provides insights that could inform policy recommendations and urban planning strategies to improve pedestrian infrastructure in the area. This study explores the challenges faced by residents of Apalit, Pampanga, due to the absence of pedestrian lanes, with a particular focus on students, senior citizens, drivers, commuters and Person with disability. Through a series of interviews, the study gathers personal experiences and opinions from local residents to understand the impacts of this issue. The findings highlight the difficulties encountered by pedestrians in navigating roadways, the safety concerns for vulnerable groups, and the broader implications for traffic flow and public transportation.
