Abstract
People are struggling with overwhelm and their nervous systems are dysregulated leading to mental and physical health challenges. The only way to enable better functioning is through insight, awareness and new thinking patterns. This talk describes an horrific accident and the journey back from a 60m fall down a mountain, as a means to explain the process of reclaiming wellbeing in all of 11 domains of wellbeing. All 11 domains are critical to the integrated experience of multilevel and sustainable wellbeing, which is attained through numerous small choices made deliberately. The literature is discussed to back up this model and the resolution methodology. A further case study is discussed as a means to demonstrate the value of bringing wellbeing to all domains simultaneously. The contributory factors to a fall (similar to burnout, or another calamity created through out of balance living) are discussed and the solutions offered in a compelling and inspirational way through both case studies: the presenter’s personal fall and recovery and the case study itself. Suggestions are made for further research.
